The estate covenant · eco-compliance & liability

Five pledges that bind every guest of GSRT.

.01

Zero-Plastic & Trash Responsibility

Single-use plastics, packaging, and non-biodegradable materials are strictly banned within the resort and local ecosystems. All outdoor waste must be kept in your personal gear and brought back to the resort's recycling stations.

.02

National Wildlife Protection Laws

Lawachara is a protected national reserve. Littering, harming flora, or smoking on dry trails violates national wildlife preservation laws. Forest authorities patrol these zones constantly; non-compliance will lead to immediate heavy fines, confiscation of gear, or legal arrest.

.03

Wildlife Retaliation & Safety Boundaries

Feeding, baiting, or flashing cameras at wildlife (such as the primates of Lawachara) is strictly illegal. Venturing off marked trails exposes you to direct territorial primate retaliation or dangerous encounters with venomous snakes and leeches. The resort holds zero liability for injuries resulting from broken rules.

.04

Indigenous Culture & Tribal Propriety

Sreemangal is home to sacred Khasi Punji and Tripura tribal villages. Guests must strictly respect their local traditions, boundaries, and private betel leaf plantations. Entering indigenous properties or taking photographs of community members without explicit, polite permission is entirely prohibited.

.05

Deep Forest Navigation Restrictions

Sreemangal's dense multi-tiered canopy causes immediate GPS and mobile network blackouts. Exploring deep reserves without our certified resort eco-guides is strictly banned due to the severe risk of instant disorientation.
